Walking around the Art Market 2011 in the town of Hoorn I had this growing consciousness of the coming autumn.  Suddenly I saw a painting that seemed to lighten up the whole area. It seemed to spread light, somewhat like the painting you see here.

I realised that it would be nice to make that sort of artwork myself. The following week I bought myself a starterskit of paint, brushes and linnen. I found out that colors are very important to me to keep me going.

On the following pages you find what I made since.  I followed an artclass in the neighbourhood and enjoyed  it a lot, especially contact with other creative people.

I try to make a calender every year and some work is  being permanently exposed at the practise I work in as a GP.

Colors to me are wholesome and painting like this  gives me a  lot of energy.

Most of the framing is done by myself although I am looking for alternatives, since it takes a lot of time.

Click through the galleries and find out if it works for you as it did for me. Enjoy!
